Pretty much unless you buy the obsolete pn#'s and mix and match at a dealer that still has obsolete parts. A lot of dealers probably haven't caught on yet and may still have some obsolete stuff on hand.

In the 2009 parts catalog that backrest is $259.95 for 52423-09. I just ordered the one linked to in this topic at Latus H-D. With shipping it was $111.70. I'll get the mounting hardware elsewhere since it was $209.99 on their site. Mounting kit 52593-09 lists for only $49.95

I am going to have to call Latus H-D to verify if the part is 52423-09 not 52423-09A. The invoice states that it is 52423-09. If it is I got a great deal.

There seemed to be some confusion on the part numbers and what was included before and now. I ended up cancelling the order to save headaches for me and Latus H-D. There was no problem dealing with them on the cancellation.

It was on my 2004 EGC but it fits 97 and up according to the book. It ia easy to install about 30 minutes. This is perfect as it was on the bike for one day ! ! ! !
