Thumbs up New 2 HDF

Well my future wife and I just bought our first HD! We found a 05' RKC in Lava Red at the local dealership and we both fell in love with it. The bike has less than 5k on it and It had to be garaged due to the overall condition it is in. The bike is absolutly beautiful! The bike has a few options; EFI, security and laced wheels. It also has V&H slip-ons and a few other trinkets. As part of the deal, we also got detachable sissy bar, luggage rack and windshield, 5k service and two pairs of boots. We then got fitted for full leather and helmets. Were planning our first trip this Saturday and we plan to put about 300 miles on it.

After we get setup with luggage, I/we plan to get rid of the laced wheels and find a clean set of factory cast wheels. The next thing will be get rid of the slip-ons and go with duals. Not sure which ones yet? That a thread in it's self.

Several years ago I was hanging out here and probing for good info on the do's, dont's and what to expect. So now that I have an HD, I thought I would simply come back. I got good info and everyone seemed to be very knowledgeable.

Regards,
Mike
