09 Fuel Guage/Air Temp Guage
On my 08 SG, the fuel guage was accurate and my air temp seemed generally quite close as well. But my 09 SG fuel guage reads empty or just below E when I still have about 60 miles on countdown, and my temp seems to always show between 80-110, even when temps are down to 60-70. Anyone else seeing the same? I am bringing it in to be checked on monday, but anything I can tell them would be beneficial.
Thanks

You know its funny you mention that, I just purchased a brand new 09 ultra last Saturday, and I to noticed the fuel guauge issue it shows 158 miles till empty, but shows just over half tank, I dont get it? Air temp I havent paid much attention to, but I will check.let me know if you come up with something, I'll do the same.

I met a dude on a road trip that replaced his air temp guage with an genuine Harley davidson oil temperature guage. It looked real nice. He also had an aftermarket oil cooler, and many other mods, but I liked the oil temp idea. What the hell is the air temperature "around the engine" supposed to tell you. Yeah, I know it's hotter, but how hot is the engine? What a dumb guage.

Air temp...who cares!!! either I'm riding or not so makes no difference (George Carlin said "stick your hand out the window, if it gets wet, it's raining)
Gas gauge...I have noticed with my new 09 Ultra, when it says empty I stop and fill it up with 5gal in 6 gal tank so I guess it's a one gal reserve. My two buddies have 07 Ultras and when their low light comes on they better be close to gas stop. Having said that, I always reset trip meter and stop by milage.
