Got a knock..... ideas?
Got a damn knock in my roadking. Don't hear it when it's cold, but can definitely hear it at idle when it warms up. Can't really tell where it's coming from though. Used a wooden handle for a stethoscope, but that didn't help much. It kinda sounds like the bottom end to me. Never heard this knock until the past few days. Had the primary apart last weekend, but don't think it's related to anything I did. Using the stethoscope I can definitely say it's low and to the front. I know I tightened the compensator nut, but you can definitely hear it there good. What else might it be? Other than bad......... Guess I'll pull the primary back off and double check all that first. Seems like it would do it all the time, not just when warm. Ideas?

...hope not, but if you rev up the engine when it's warm and it sounds like a rattle, it could be the dreaded piston, wrist-pin bushing, over time, running lean, they literally disintegrate (brass), and the piston starts to bounce around in the cylinder making a kind of rattle, I know you said a knock, but some times it sounds like that at first, then gets louder and louder as time goes on.
I thought wrist pin at first. But I can't hear it when I rev it it slightly, only at idle. And it actually seems to go away at times at idle. I readjusted the primary chain last night, hoping that may have had something to do with it. But it didn't seem to make a difference. I may pull the primary case back off today just to double check the comp nut, but I know I tightened it. May try to find someone else to listen to it as well, and see what they think it is. Then I'm just gonna continue to ride the hell out of it. It won't be the first time I've had one come apart if that's what ends up happening.
