Default Spare Key???

Ok, does anyone recommend securing the spare key somewhere on the MC? If I were on an extended trip and were to misplace the key, I would want a spare at hand.

What's a good location on the MC?

Thanks,

Rich

I suggest not putting it on your bike, not many hiding places. I put a spare key on my neclace, never gets lost and not available to thiefs.

Wrap a spare in a few winds of masking tape and stuff it in your wallet.

Definately not on the bike. But carrying it some other way on your person would be a good idea.

I keep one set in my pants pocket and the other set in my coat pocket. Never on the bike. This has worked well for me.

I have one tied to the inside of my jacket pocket. Not on the bike.

Ok, Here is an old snowmobile trick I use to do and would work well in this situation. Put your spare key on a small key ring. Attach it to an eyelet or lace of your boot. You will never loose your boots (unless the husband comes home and you dont have time to grab them).

If the husband comes home and you can't grab your boots in time . What makes you think you got time to grab your pants . You know, the ones that have your other key ! HA! HA !!!!
