I watched that video earlier............I'm going to try that out for sure.

Did you watch the hornblaster's videos?

Default Air horn

I just put the mini beast2 on my SG & absolutely love it, looks great & is LOUD!!! My wife could barely hear the stock horn in the driveway when she's inside.. problem solved she says its loud to her inside the house! Regardless of which style you pick you won't regret getting a min beast.

Are you saying that you blow the horn and make her come out to open the garage door?????

I just found the dimensions for the original Mini-Beast............5 1/4" square and 3 1/2" deep.
I have the air wing horn cover now, that is about 6-7" wide, so I think it will be a bit smaller then what I have..........and a whole lot louder.

Eastern Performance has it for $109 delivered..........best price I've found.

I cut my Stebel Compact, which is what the mini-beast is, apart and hid it under the stock cover.

My stock horn died a couple weeks ago. The dealership wanted around $50 for the crappy replacement. I picked up a WOLO dual air horn for about $35. From earlier information here on the Forum, I separated the compressor from the horn unit. I picked up three feet of 5/16" fuel line and a plastic vacuum fitting for the fuel line. The plastic fitting required some fitting to slip inside of the horn unit. The horn unit is easily hidden under the stock horn housing using plastic tie wraps. The "air line" was then led under the tank and through a hole in the frame plate into the left side compartment where the maxi fuse is. Connect the air line with a small hose clamp to the compressor. Tie wrap the compressor. Use the original horn wiring to connect to the included horn relay and use very heavy wire ( 10 gauge) to connect the compressor to the battery. It works great, and unless you look real close, people won't know it's an air horn until you push the button.

The Mini Beast sounds like a Semi-Truck horn. I have the original. I bought a new one off eBay for $108.50. It turns out the seller is a Forum member. I put a Caliper Insert on it to help the looks.

It's a plug and play install. You do run a wire to the battery. But the battery isn't very far away.

Here's a couple of shots of the 'original' mini beast on my 09 Roadie. I have had this horn for 3 years on 2 different bikes.Took it off my 05 after 3 years and mounted it on here last winter. I grew into the look, although the newer covers are more appealing this one is good for me and the sound is awesome. Loud enough to get that cager on the phone's attention! Don't blow this horn in a closed space (like a small garage) ...don't ask me how I know this!

Hey Jim... How did you cut it? what part was left and did it effect the sound... what part did you cut? do you have any pics... love the idea that you can hide it underneath the stock cover.

I would like to hide the horn on my bike, and people say under the battery box is the place to go.........but I don't think the Mini-Beast will fit.

I want it to be loud and heard well.............so the stock location maybe the best option.
