I would leave it all alone. I don't think it makes that big a difference (no offense), but they're there for a reason.

Do yourself a favour. Loose the bumpers, and while your at it, ditch the saddebag rails.

Bumpers and bag rails removed. And you do not have to remove the front tire to get the rail and bumper off. Read my thread here.
