What do you use to clean your windshield and your visor on your helmet? I have read some post that say to use “wax” after it is clean to help with rain run off. What kind of wax though, car?

I got some stuff made by NOVUS at my HD dealer and it works great.

if you use anything with ammonia in it .. consider your winsdshield trashed... Lexan and ammonia (windex) don't mix

Wet an old T-shirt, squeeze out, and lay on your windshield for a few minutes. Use the same t-shirt to wipe off bugs, and dry with a micro fiber towel. I've tried all the "magic formulas" and none work better. You can follow up using a wax or other plastic safe 'protectant' for bugs, rain beading, etc. Try this...it is so simple and effective.

I'll second that old t-shirt method. I just soak it in warm water and lay it on the windshield for a few minutes. If needed I use some of that H/D bug remover after the shirt has been on for while. I use the same method for my helmet visor. I haven't used any of that rain run off stuff yet though..

Bugs splatter when wet then dry. Reverse the process to remove.

water + time = clean

Dry with microfiber then ride.

For prevention use a slippery coating.
