I was just interested to see what guys thought. As a woman, I was surprised to hear it called a girls bike. I don't know many women who ride them, although like I said, we ride all kinds. I just wondered how a guy would feel about another guy making this comment. I didn't talk to him, my friend did. And she said she didn't think he meant anything bad by the comment, but I just found it strange. But then as I think on it, I'm not sure what my first guess would be if I heard a woman had bought a Harley. I think I'd guess a Softail because of seat height. So maybe that's wrong of me to make that guess too. And yes, I'm having to work to make this thing fit my short self. Love the ride though!

...Thats some funny chit, right there!! I love your Avatar...but I'm afraid that if I said something like that to my wife I'd have to borrow the gun from your friend.

I would not be suprised at all to see a woman riding a Road King. it is the most adaptable bike in the Harley Line IMHO. I call it the convertable harley, I can convert mine from long range cruser to a bar hopper in a few min.

Removable fairing
Removeable lowers
Removeable tour pack and or passanger back rest.
Removable driver back rest.

A Road King can be all things to almost all people.

BTW A Road King almost always has a woman on it, but mostly there on the back

wait...the guy says "a lot of women ride road kings"...

regardless of accuracy...how is there anything there to take offense at?

It's not like he said it the way people say it about Sportys.

Never heard of a Road King being labeled a "girls bike." I am always impressed seeing a woman riding any bike...

Welcome to Harley and enjoy the ride. I think this guy guessed RK because it's such a popular bike with everybody. when I first looked at bagger's, I thought the RK was the best bang for the buck. I almost bought one. I ride an Ultra Classic because I'm married now and I want my wife to have the comfort. Plus I'm older and like it too!!If I were to guess a Harley that women would mostly pick, it would be a softail or Dyna. JMO

I have 2 female friends who ride Road Kings, I know one of them would kick his *** and have him begging forgiveness in a minute or less, she is about 120 lbs, gorgeous and a Black Belt in Karate and into kick boxing for money......I saw her injure a man who was trying to hit on her, he would not go away, then he was on the floor crying.... the shot between the legs was the last one he got standing on his own 2 feet.

I agree with most of the others....I don't think that there really is a "girl's bike" in the line up. Even the 883 IMO is not so much a girl's bike as it is a good starter bike. I definitely wouldn't call anything in the touring line a girls bike. There is a female around here who is about 5' 3" or so and rides a Street Glide. The kicker is, she rides it well. I saw her one day come into the HD parking lot. She pulled in nose first to the bike parking and whipped it around a al Ride Like a Pro and turned it around, placing it perfectly in a spot. That guy is a tool. If he does ride he is probably one of those guys who thinks they are all garbage except for his model......

Sounds like jealousy to me. People usually "crack" on others when they are either embarrassed about what they have, or what they don't have.
