Mine was the same way when riding on the 03 Super Glide,

After experimenting and buying a used Road Glide, (kept my FXD), the wife really enjoys the trips,

All the really light weight stuff goes in the T-Bag pictured,

If that's the Tbags Dakota, it's the one I have and we love it . Yo can zip off the end bags if you want to when you stop somewhere and they convert to back packs. Has a place in th eback for phones and maps and stuff. Built in rain cover. Built in carrying strap and the tie down suystem is the cat's ***. My buddy will only use bungies and tells me I am a rub for having that bag but after seeing me click 6 tie straps and walk away while he was still struggling with his bungies and cargo net has convinced him to think about one.

You won't regret it.

Packing for trips is a whole lot easier now using the Dry Fit gear that rolls up nice and small and is super light weight. I travel with my wife and we can fit most everything we need in the tourpack and saddlebags with a small bag only for weather gear needs.

I have the same one as Buttman1000. My GF got all her stuff in it when we went to Sturgis last summer. Very easy to attach to bike and crry into hotel. The rain cover also works well.

I'm guessing there are a lot of overloaded tour pacs runnin up and down the road, including mine. So far no issues. I weight my bag using the bathroom scales, and it was about 11 -15 pounds. I always have wifey support the bag when I open the lid. Been doing this for two years now. Just started the process of installing the new type hinges and didn't notice any problems with the tour pac because of weight issues. I figure they can take more than what they are rated for. If they can't, I'll deal with it. I didn't buy the Ultra to ride solo, so the tour pac bag is a necessary evil.

Same as mine. I load the heavy stuff down low and lighter stuff on top.
