Default 6.5" Klock Werks

Does anyone know if the HD 3 pocket fairing bags will fit with 6.5"?
If not, anyone looking to sell an 8.5" KW fairing for street glide in black

6.5 it won't fit. you need to 8.5 for the 3 pocket bag.

Looking through the recurve on any KW windshields is the pits!

There's way better out there and a fraction of the cost. Paying for the name IMO.

I agree with fact you don't want to look through KW windshield. I recently picked up a used KW 8.5" light tint shield on this forum and absolutely love this shield! I can see over it just fine at 5'9". I've run for years my go to Clearview 9.5" recurve and while it's a bit quieter I am very happy with KW.

I have the KW 8.5 on my SG and I absolutely love it. True, you can't look through it, but you're not supposed to. If you can't see over it then you got the wrong one. Don't blame the shield on your poor purchase.

Most people switch windshields to cure some type of buffeting. It's usually most effective to have the windshield right below your line of site. So like you said your not looking through it. But when you set the shield up like that and then there are times you have to glance down to see the road etc the KW is lousy. It's far to distorted for my liking.

I believe I had 2 of them. A 6.5 & 8.5 When I cured the buffeting with the 8.5 I was looking through it. Then when I went with the 6.5 I wasn't looking through it but the buffeting was lousy.

It's all subjective anyway. Seat, riding position, height, helmet, all factor in.

Are other recurve's better for looking through? I see you have the fastaire .. does it not have the same problem as the KW?

No distortion at all if you have to look through the recurve on the fastaire.

I had the 6.5 and it was too short.
Don't believe the hype and BS about "clean air".
It's turbulence any way you cut it.

Any taller than 6.5 (in this "aerodynamic" look) IMO looks like it was melted in the sun.
I had an 8.5 too in the KW design and did not even bother putting it on, sold it due to the aforementioned.
Went with a 9" flip recurve from LRS and never looked back.

Fast Aire is as good.
