I had Screaming Eagle slip ons right after I bought my bike and ran that for 3 years. The sound was far better than stock and the price was reasonable with a nice little power boost. I've got Rinehart slip ons now. Nice throaty sound, mellow enough on cruise to hear the stereo and barks under full throttle. They're a little pricey at $580 for the pair but I'm happy with them.

Louder pipes are good! I just this evening bought a Screaming Eagle Nightstick from a forum member (Thanks Sancho) for my '10 Street Glide! IT SHOULD make my bike sound a bit more "Harley Like"
Good luck on your quest for sound!

Go on E-bay and look around, you should be able to find a used set of something, at a low price. I picked up a set of V&H basics for $120.00 with shipping. They were like new. Sounds nice!

Thumbs up Do the whole stage one

Jackpot dyno tuned mufflers, SE air cleaner, Power Commander V. The whole kit was only $690.00. Call Jamie at Fuel Moto. You won't go wrong. The Jackpots sound awesome. Mellow in cruise, but bark when you twist the wick. Nice low rumble at idle. Slightly louder than stock. Definitely makes your EG sound a little more sinister.

Default Vance & Hines

I got Vance & Hines Big Shot Duals. They sound great and you can still hear your radio. They got good prices on these on Eastern Performance.

Default Thanks for the advice

Thanks to all for the recommendations. I am taking the bike in this week to have her 1000 mile check up. Aside from adding more chrome I will look into the exhaust. I will update the forum with whatever I end up with and rate the difference between stock the upgrade. Looking forward to some great riding this year.

Hello there,I have had everything from D&D to V&H and it all depends on the person. The D&D big Boars I have are deep and throaty and get loud at @ 3000 rpm while the V&H Pythons sound like the bike is sittin beside the house when its at idle over 100 ft from it warmin up.Depends if you want performance or just lookin for the sound,if its sound just drill out the stock pipes for a little louder rumble. You'll only be out the price of the drill bit, you'll gain @ 20 db goin that route.

What are your thoughts/suggestions about this and if it's possible to do between 300-500$. Thanks for any help.
Call Jamie at Fuel Moto and let him suggest pipes and/or a whole Stage I package. Your bike will run a lot cooler, make a lot more power, sound great, and without two many bucks!!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new scoot! You'll love it more every day. I have Fuelmoto jackpots on my Ultra and really like the sound. Real low, deep rumble and bark real good when you get on the gas. I live 65 miles south of Atlanta. Maybe we could hook up sometime and give you a listen. You can also go to a local dealer on a Saturday and listen to the bikes riding in. Most guys are more than happy to tell you what they have, costs and where to get them. Send me a pm if you have anymore questions. Enjoy that new ride!!
