Default Road 6 custom lowering kit help

Newbie here, I have a 02 Road King and I'm trying to insall the road 6 custom lowering kit on the rear shocks, but it came with hand written instructions and no pictures so I'm a little confused. Does anyone have any pictures of this installed or can explain to me clearly? Thanks,

Exclamation I would suggest returning them...

I have been waiting for over 3 weeks for my stock handle bars and lowering kit from this company. I called them earlier today only to find out they are still awaiting power coating. The same excuse I heard last week. Over the last three weeks I have read a ton of information about lowering your bike. The only way to make the geometry work is with new shocks. Those lowering kits will only cause trouble down the road. Glad they took so long to get it done. I got my order canceled in time.

Look at some progressive shocks and save your self a lot of problems down the road...

See you on the road...

Default road six customs

here some pics that should help u i hope this lowering kit is good and works great if installed right. people that havent used them or doesnt know how to install them properly will say negative things about this kit i have had these kits on 3 differant bike and they work great . i wouldnt lower any more then 2 inches. mine is set at 1 inch. anyway look at the pics closely and i think u can do it yourself if not PM me and i will do what i can to help you. also if you have a roadking classic with leather bags it wont work they only work with the hard bags. on the back of the metal piece with the round thing that has to face towards the rear tire those will tell show you which is right side or the left side.

Same set up I have on my scoot, I also have had no problems whatsoever, over 20,000 miles so far.

Had mine on for approx. 5k mi. with no problems, the install is pretty easy, just make sure you have the weight off the back tire before pulling the shock bolts.

I never understood how differant shocks would be any better than the lowering blocks. You are still taking away the distant between the tire and the fender. I have the same kit on my EGlide. Loved the way 2" felt but would bottom out on the fender so I kept it at the 1" with no other problems. I aint no little fellow and ride 2-up alot, if you are skinny you might get by at 2". The 3" drop is only for show bikes that are pushed not ridden.

please remember these kind words....if you 2up, do not go to the second or 3rd hole....if you are over 200lbs and do not 2up...do not use the second or 3rd hole. When will you think of my advice...one day...at night...everyone will be honking and flashing their lights at you...and you will notice drivers behind you almost on your ***...your rear lighting is out....wheel rub cuased by using lowering adapters...result in the wiringing for you rear lighting to short out. The wiring rides along the underside of your bike rear fender. You are almost impossible to see at night from behind with out your rear lighting. be careful my friend. extra fuses will not help....the occasional wheel rub from using lowering adapters results in about 6 wires loosing their insulation.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion but after riding over 80k with one of their kits installed on 2 different bikes I have no complaints. No bottoming out, nothing tore up and the brackets haven't broke off yet like some have predicted. More than half the time I ride 2-up.

Just stating the facts as they apply to me with a little bit of experience actually using the product.

dave
