Weather was warm enough yesterday (barely) that I was able to work fairly comfortably in the garage. I installed the H-D cruise control that I ordered through Zanotti H-D.
Installation took about 2 hours start to finish. Would have gone faster if it was warmer!

I installed mine on an '09 EGS earlier this year as well - still not initiated yet. I called the three local shops and asked the same question. I got a range of prices from $50 to $20. Guess where I'm going? Call around and get a price....
Does anyone know if there is a procedure in the Electrical Diagnostic manual to enable the cruise?I had that manual for my 06 standard, but not my new 09.

If there was I couldn't find it. Cost me $30. Beat $225 for them to install it.
You have to take it to the dealer to activate. Cost my $50 I think. One thing that I think Harley could of put more thought into is which side to mount the control. It would be much easier to set if it was on the left side. It's takes a little bit of a reach to set while trying to hold the throttle at speed.
