Cool

Hey Barney....maybe I'm missing something here but I see that there is a SG on your avatar and the Fatboy is sold so this entire thread is moot. Hope you're enjoying your new ride and the best of the season to you. Welcome to the Forum.

p.s. I put an 8.5" windshield from Fastaire (great service, great price) and that took care of the buffeting.

The are a few differences between the SG and the 2011 CVO SG. The lower fairings is a big one and will likely be a lot different from the strait SG. I don't have lowers, so I can't compare them. Others here can answer that question.

I'm 5' 8" and ride an 08 SG. Didn't like the Harley windshields, weren't high enough. I purchased a Kuraykyn 8" smoked windshield and the fairing deflectors. The wind goes right over the top of my head and instead of the air from below hitting me in the chest, it gets deflected to my forearms now. Can't stop all the air from getting to your body. Have fun riding that SG, you won't be disappointed.

I put an 81/2" klockworks shield on mine helped the buffiting quite a bit. Never did have problems hering the radio. I'm 6' and the leg room is not an issue.

Yep, ditched the Fat Boy back in May and bought the SG. Added a 8" Windvest recurve and all is well.
