Default Patches on a vest /// Glue ???

Anyone have any luck with glueing patches on a vest ?? I hear there is a glue for this purpose but so far I haven't found it. I am trying to save a inside pocket rather than sewing thru it for the patch placement. Any ideas ??

Thanks in advance Be Safe JIM

My leather guy always glues my patches in place while I'm there, then sews them. He has also sewn patches on my pockets and where there is an inside pocket, without damaging the pocket. I would say find a good leather shop by word of mouth.

Go to a craft store or fabric store and get some Tanners Bond leather craft cement. It works pretty well, dries clear.

I used hot glue just to hold it in place, then sewed it.

There is a product that scouts use called Badge Magic. I have had good luck with it. It comes in an 8.5 " x 11" sheet and costs about $10. http://www.badgemagic.com/

Some Harley dealers have a guy/gal there on Saturdays that sew patches on all day long

My local shoe repair guy told me he would sew patches on, although I haven't used him yet.

My karate school uses something called Patch Attach to glue the patches to the uniforms. I haven't used it though.

My cadets on the drill team use Patch Attach on their berets, put it on then iron it. It holds good on felt, don't know about leather. I always have them sewed on.

If the pocket can be taken off and then reattached after the patch is on. Don't know if that is possible but I have seen some peoples patches that have blown off while riding and now that area looks bad until they can replace it.
Better to get them attached securely with leather to combat the wind and everyday abuse.

Best route to go is getting it glued on just to hold it in place and then get it sewn on.
