Default How wide?

can anyone tell me how wide of a rear tire i can go on a 07 ultra. i'm not wanting to do a wide tire kit. they come with the MU (140). I'm wanting to go to a 150 or a 160 as long as there's no rubbing issues. thanks

I just got done putting a 150 under mine. The wheel is not centered on the bike, so it requires work to center it and get it off the fender.

I modified spacers and added spacers.

I had a 160/60 Metz under my 07 Street Glide with no rubbing issues and that bike is an inch lower than the Ultra and I lowered it another inch and still no issues!

With those rims? or stock?
I was told on here that a stock wheel will need slight modification to the fender or spacers to get a 150 under it.

150 to 160 needs a 4.5" wide rim as well. I did not read about anyone having a 150 on a stock rim.

The 150 I have has about .125 each side clearance on road winder rims that spacers were modified to center in the fender.

I put a dunlop E3 160/80B16 on the rear of my 07 FLHTC and I have no rubbing issues. I didn't do any modifications at all.

go to denniskirk.com , look up the rear tire you have on your bike, their web list the tire mounted width on the rim, then look at the tire you want to put on, look at it's mounted width, do the math and check the clearance you have, that easy
