Your tire will expand at highway speeds.
If the nut touches, the tire might rub the fender and burn your paint. It's an easy fix if it does touch.
Drill out the rear fender mount hole a little and tilt the fender forward. That will rasie the back of the fender off the tire.

2) I rode mine about two months and then lowered the front with the HD Lowering springs to get the bike to handle better at slow speeds.
It will try and Counter Steer on it's own, with the front jacked up 1 1/4".

2b) Okay an 3rd point so to speak, If you do lower the front end back down, I would use a heavier oil. I did not know about this.
HD has 3 weights of fork oil. (1) stock, (2) Screamin Eagle and then (3) a heavy racing Screamin Eagle.
If I had known about this when I redid my front end, I would have put the middle weight in.
