Default Passing lamps on a 2103 SG

Quick question..I bought a pair of passing lamps w/brackets for my 2013 SG. Would I want to wire it to my unused Acc switch or use the enclosed "Spot" switch that came with the kit? I also bought the HD harness to have the lamps on with either high or low beam.

spot switch.

you may find that the wiring from the turn signals has unused grey/black wires in the harness- these are for the spots.

Default passing lamps

Had this installed on my '13 SG a month ago, dealer wired it to the acc. switch, no need for the HD wiring plug accessory since this switch is separate from the lighting. Has worked fine with no problems.

The spot switch is super easy to install. I just put mine on a week ago. I think its the better way to go. Dont half *** the job.

If you use the spot switch its plug and play, if you use the ACC switch you have to splice and move wires around. Its your choice but if you have the switch why would you not use it? I use my acc for my heated seat and an aux power port in the tour pack, not sure how many other parts could plug in there but I wouldn't want to have to go through the hassle of re wiring it if you wanted to add something to that switch later.

Also just so you are pre warned, after the spots the lower fairings come. Then the tour pack, the only logical step next is a heated seat. Just saying, your getting old!
