Default What is the best cam for a 96" motor

I want to change the cams in my 2010 road glide.
I have D&D exhaust with no other mods except
an air cleaner.
I am looking for good low end and mid range pull,
and a high duration for the nice sound. Does anyone
have a suggestion????? Are gear drive cams an option
for the 96" motor?????????????

I'm doing the SE 255's, and my brother has them in his RK. They sound awesome, and are made for low end. I have a set sitting in the box, ready for next winter to install. I ran out of time this winter to tackle another project.

Gear drives are an option if your runout is within .003.... Trying to tell you the perfect cam for you is like trying to pick someone else's wife for them. The woods 6 seems to get a bit of love here as well as a few others. The SE255 seems to also get a lot of love. I like my 204's but they come on a little later and hold the curve a litte flatter. It's a preference thing.

Classic!

I'd look to the TMan 525 or new 555 (releases later this month) or HQ500 / HQ525

Shoot it's picking a wife for someone else is easy, it's picking your own that's hard. Same goes for cams, if you don't like it we don't have to live with it/them.

I love my SE-204 cams but like everyone else said.... you are the one that has to ride it. What type of riding do you do and where are you spending most of your time as far as RPM Range?
