Unhappy Fuel Management Woes!!!

I own a 2000 FLHTCUI with the infamous Magneti Marelli ECU. It has a Kuryakyn Hypercharger, Vance&Hines Slash Cut Pipes and a Power CommanderIII. My problem is the Power Commander. I just had the 3rd one go out last week. I do not have any other problems on the bike. Of course I need some type of fuel manager with the extras that I have. Power Commander is a good product, however it does not seem to be able to handle my bike. Harley dealership want about $1500 to install their fuel management system and dyno test it. Is there anyone out there who has had the same problems? Power Commander has replaced every unit that has went bad, no questions asked, but i am ready to try a new avenue. All suggestions are appreciated!! Help me out guys.

I have a 2001 Ultra with MM injection. I have the SE/AC, an SE-204 cam and SE 98b slip on mufflers. I use the SE Race fueler. It functions similar to the Dobeck DFO, it doesn't change the programming of the ecu, just adds fuel. I don't think Harley is selling the Race Fuelers anymore but the DFO's are still available. With the mods you have it would probably work just fine and you can adjust it with a screwdriver. I have never had mine on a dyno and it runs fine. They run between $200-$300 I think and are pretty easy to install.

Why do you think it's the PC? You did not specify what problems you're having, but I find it hard to believe that 3 PC have gone bad on you, IMO..

What is the definition of "went bad"? In order for more people to assist please be more detailed and also add any other modifications and miles.

I just added a PCIII to my 01 Ultra with S&S 510G cams and had it dyno'd at Doc's in St. Louis. It has a small hesitation between gears and occasionally when i take off a pretty good stumble but was told with the MM injection was no biggy. Bike runs great and pulls hard. Don't know that anyone i ride with has had a problem with theirs is why i went with it. Indy that installed it told me if it does go out it usually take out the ecm as well so i'm wondering if thats true.

I'm on my 2nd bike with a PCIII on both and have never had any problems. Wonder what is killing your PCIII's?

Thanks for the input and the link. The only thing that I can guess my problem is could be electrical. I don't know what, but how else could 3 PCIII's have went out and my bike runs without it on there. Dynojet has confirmed each time that it was their fault and replaced the unit. The only problem I've had in the past year was my stator shorted out. I replaced that over a weekend. Do you think I could trust a dealer to trouble shoot my electrical system?

I'm running the PCII on my bike, but haven't had any problems at all. Is your cable run in front of the battery/behind the covers or are you running it over the frame/under the seat? I had my bike in the shop and the Harley dealership actually said that my PCII look and was programmed great. I was willing to let them put something different on and dyno it but they were cool with what I had. My only gripe with the PCII is the lack of available maps.
