I assume I'm about to install the third rear tire, but I'm just guessing. I bought the bike last year at an auction, so I don't really know how many tires have been on it, but it has Michelins, and it has 33,000 kms. About 22,000 miles.
I'm 2 1/2 hours from an HD store though, but maybe I'll wait until I can get some.

Positive, theyve been sealed since 2000.
Like Harleypingman said rotate the wheel while hoilding the inner races in your fingers, they should run nice and smooth.
They are supposed to be good for 100k unless you have an 08 or early 09 then they seem to be going out around 20k

How comforting! As an update on my ABS light, Digital Tech claims it's the front sensor, and of course is on backorder and we didn't have one on hand. It still could be the bearing however, but I have to start with a known good sensor to continue the test. Sooooo, I have to wait until the end of June to get the sensor.
