Default Saddlebag filler strips - bag theft question

Do the filler strip accessories make bag theft less likely?

Are 2009/10 bags less likely to be stolen or do they have the same degree of access to the attachment pins as earlier models?

Can't see how it would make bag theft less likely.

The top of the filler strip on mine kinda covers the rear attachment point. It would take very little effort to bend it outta the way.

Seems like they would cover one of the retention pins - but maybe not

If you're worried go here: http://brukus.com . I got some for my bags and my seat. It's pretty simple but clever. It pretty much just "keeps the honest guys honest" if you know what I mean.

Truthfully - not that concerned, but it's been an on again off again topic around here. Seems like a well designed cover would take care of the problem.

I put clips with threads and put a 9/16" bolt so the crook would have to have a wrench with him.
