Was looking to add these on my FLHTP but noticed the bag rails bolts to a bracket between the bag and the fender. Do they make bag inserts to fit like this or do the bag rails need to be removed? Thanks for the input
I'd check and make sure that part would fit. Here's the description from the catalog, found at surdyke.com.
Saddlebag Filler Strip Kits
For those who seek perfection, these kits fill in the gaps between the fender and the rear of the saddlebags, hiding the saddlebag mounting bracket. Choose between subtle black or highly polished chrome. Or, for a real custom look, paint the black strips to match your sheet metal and bags. Slotted Fits 95-later FLHT, 94-later FLHR (except FLHRS) and 93 FLHS models equipped with Nostalgic Saddlebag Guard Rails P/N 90839-94; fits 98 FLHRCI with Nostalgic Saddlebag Guard Rails P/N 91265-98. (Will not fit above models equipped with saddlebags P/Ns 90652-94, 90843-93 or Fender Rail P/N 91019-92A. Will not fit 98-later FLHRCI with Rear Detachable Docking Kit or 98-later FLTR.)
The way I read it, they'll work with the nostalgic saddlebag guard rails, but not the 'Twin Rail Chrome Saddlebag Guard' that our ex-cop bikes have. I guess, tho, you can notch 'em a bit more, but it'd be an awful large notch.

Even tho it's police model, it's still an Electra Glide standard. It looks like it should fit?
