Default 2010 Street Glide question

I recently bought a 2010 Street Glide, I would like to have the factory exhaust changed. The dealer I bought the bike from recommends Rinehart true duals with a larger intake and programmer. They quoted me a little over $1600.00 for this installation option.
Can anybody give me some insight as to the Price, Performance, and Sound of this option.
All opinions would greatly be appreciated.

Have a 2010 Street Glide I bought in Sept. I just put on a Rush pipe and both the dealer and Rush said no need to have a remap. Noticed a little better power. Sound is deep and mellow. A little louder than stock.

I'm having a SERT, SEAC and dyno being done now. Total cost around $1100. Appears your dealer is in the ball park with his price.

Sert was about 500......dyno tune was about 300.....Reinhart slip ons about 550......

I wouldn't spend the money to dyno anything until you included a breather with that set up. The stock breather is too restrictive.

My bad...you said breather......

Yea if your going to let them install the pipes and breather vs you do it....it could be that much....

2010 has a 2 into 1 exhaust. I wouldnt consider going to a true dual. True duals will not out perform a 2into1

I'll probably get flamed for saying it but IMO rineharts are way over rated. Go set at a dealership until you hear something you like, then ask what they have and go from there.

If I had it to do over again I would go 2 into 1. True Duals aren't bad, I like their looks and my set up performs well but the 2 into 1 is the way to go for the peak of performance/power.

If you have a stereo and want to hear it get a quiet baffle, performance is still "truely" great and you get to hear your music to boot!

Default I put TDs on my FLHX

You will get plenty of opinions on the TDs vs the 2 into 1. What I can tell you is that even with TDs I am able to keep up with my riding partners. I am at the back of the group..but not because of speed.

As for price, to swap out the head pipes too, you are looking around 1000.00. When you do the pipes, you also want to do the breather or Air Cleaner. If you give it more air you need to add fuel. You will need an after market ECM. You will get plenty of opinions on them too.

If I were you, enjoy the new bike and enjoy the hunt for the perfect set of pipes. Read the forums, talk to guys at the dealer. Most of us like to talk about our bikes and like it when someone asks about them.

Of course come back here, we love to help others spend money!

Rinehart true duals 1,000.00 (I love mine by the way)
High flow air cleaner 150.00-300.00
Fuel management system 200.00-300.00
Total for parts 1,350,00-1,600

This isn't including labor, so if you're going to go through a dealer, I don't really think that's a bad price, depending on what air cleaner and what fuel management system they're giving you for this price.

I would go after market 2 into 1 as the stock header pipe has cats.
