OK - anyone out there use the J&M amp with different speakers? Like say Focals? The sound is very clean and undistorted all the way up to full head unit volume. I can't help wondering if the speaker level input could be driven at a higher level. Any thoughts? An outfit (Dragonfly) near here uses line level output converters to connect to Arc amps and swears by them. Just wondering if this might be worth a try?

 

What setup are you running Dave? Stock speakers? 2 or 4 Iam curious, been checking out the arc audio amps down at the local stereo shop as well as there speakers, are you using the stock head unit?

 

Stock head unit, J&M amp (cause of the mounting bracket) and FOCAL 6.5" CVX polyglass speakers with Dragonfly adaptor rings. Stock rear speakers.

VERY clean. I'm not sure about the amp . . . The way John was describing it you'd think it actually was an Arc amp but rest assured it's custom built for J&M.
