Dyno tuning. Is it worth it?
I've got an 09 Ultra with a pc-v and arlen ness big sucker and 3in. slip-ons with no baffles. The bike has a lot of decel pop and seems to idle high. Would it really make that much of a difference to have the bike dyno tuned professionally and how much would it cost. I had a honda dyno tuned and it helped performance wise and seems like it cost around a hundred bucks.

I debated this topic (to-dyno or not-to-dyno) for days. Reading many posts here on hdforums you end up with roughly a 50/50 response. I finally decided to put down the $400 and get it done. My bike:
'09 RKC
V&H Dresser Duals
V&H Turndown Mufflers
Fuel Moto Stage 1 AC
PCV
The bike ran fine with the base map; however, after the dyno the acceleration is much smoother, better response, no more backfire. It just runs better. IMO you do not know what you're missing until you get an engine properly tuned (at least that is the boat that I was in). With that said, there is definitely magic/knowledge with the shop you choose. Get a recommendation from someone you trust.
