I live out in no where we have a stone driveway with a very light sand base and well water (hard water) everytime I wash my SG I blow sand all over the tire, wheels, frame and forks also no matter how fast I dry it I still get water spots. what do you guys do?

I also live in the middle of nowhere with a gravel drive and well water. I just spray bike with Bike Bright, hose off, and blow dry. The key is to keep out of direct sunlight so it does not dry at ll until I blow it dry. Never wash it on a cloudless day.
I do not have issues with spots at all.

I've seen a device (forget now who makes it) but it's basically a water softener cartridge you attach to the end of your water hose. It softens the water as it comes out of the hose to reduce water spots. You recharge it in a saltwater brine solution just like an in home softener would do.
We have fairly hard city water, so I had one outside faucet plumed through the softener just for washing cars/bikes/whatever.

I don't live in the middle of no where but Las Vegas has a really bad hard water issue. I take a bucket of water and wipe the bike with a soaked micro-fiber towel and immediately wipe it off with another towel I hold in my other hand. No water spot issues. Living where I do my bike usually just has some bugs and dust so a real wash down isn't needed.
