Default Fairing lowers

For those of you with lower fairings, are the restrictions for foot position that are inherent in the design troublesome or uncomfortable?
Also, can you position your hi-way pegs down low or do they have to in a certain position to work with the lowers? If anyone has a pic of how they've mounted their pegs with lowers I'd also appreciate it.

Thanks

I have had no problems whatsoever with the lowers, or placement of pegs. They do restrict auxillary lighting bolt on's though.

No issues here. It does lesson your choices with lowers installed. Picture in my signature.

Also mine are very comfortable. I find myself hardly ever using the floorboards.

USE THE DUALLY KURYAKYN WITH LONG ARMS IF YOU ARE 6 FEET OR UNDER. USE SHOPRT ARMS FOR OVER 6 FEET TALL. LOOK CLOSELY AT MY BIKE IF YOU CAN SEE THEM. ALSO YOU MAY WANT TO GO WITH THE E-Z BRAKE AND SHIFTERS. VERY NICE LOOKING AND COMFORTABLE.

I have no issues, but you need to be carefull of the boots you wear, if you have highway bars positioning your feet adjacent to them. Any metal on the inside of your boots, such as zippers, rings, buckles, etc., can do a number on the paint job of your lowers!

I don't have Hwy pegs yet but as you can see by the pic below there is plenty of exposed bar to attach to. I find with the lower on I can slide my foot forward more on the platform and kind of rest the heel, and the lower keeps the wind from blowing my foot off.

What do you mean by "lesson your choices" Abnmarine? You foot position or where you mount the pegs?

I'm referring to the placement of the pegs on the bars. You only have about 4-6 inches to mount them when using the lowers. No big deal as long as you find what is comfortable to you. Also I think it is key to get the right type of brackets as it needs to clear the fairing. I run the HD 360* mounts. The ones posted above would work great too.

Being just a 30" inseam, the lowers do a fine job of protecting my legs. My feet rest on the floor boards in a natural positon, but for variation, I do move my foot out into the air stream with my heel just on the floorboards. This seems to give me the change in position I need to be comfortable for the long stretches.
