Default Surprised !!!!

Can it really cost over $1,000.00 to change handlebars on a 2009 Ultra Classic? I hear the big deal is that they need to extend all the control wiring by hand (Cut & Splice). Doesn't someone make a kit for that?. If not someone needs to do a little engineering.

That labor time here would equal $800 plus parts!

Highway robbery. Do it yourself!!! Cost me price of the +2 sweeper bars, longer clutch and throttle/idle cables and a few hours' time. Get a manual, get in there and git'r done. It's not rocket science.

Yup, 8 hours is what I've heard. Take a close look at all that has to come off to get to the bars. I decided I like mine just fine.

If you do it yourself read some of the install posts here for tips like lubing the wires lightly
before running thru the bars, I did my controls at the same time, trying to get the switches
in new housing can be frustrating but with a little patience and the right frame of mind help.

Thanks for the hint. I have already dealt with the switch housings when I changed from stock to chrome. Broke a switch putting on the buttons as well, then put it in upside down so my cruise is backasswords!!!
