Thumbs up New tour pack - what is it?

Folks,

Anybody familiar with this tour pack? I just bought it, I think it was sold with the Harley Davidson Liberator fairing, but I am not sure of this. Its going on my RK with a QD bracket

Looks like the ones from way back when the Electra Glide didn't have a faring, and looked like the road king of today.

Are you sure it is an HD tourpak?
I don't recall HD having one with that much of a contour top.
But then again I have been wrong more than once....

It's a Shovel era King TourPak. Late 60's, early 70's. They had two. The one you have, and a smaller one. I have the smaller one. I've modified mine with a backrest pad, mini luggage rack and a couple aluminum plates so it would fit a newer '09 & up touring bike. The backrest pad on yours wasn't like the wrap-around style we have today. It was flat, kind of like a wide but slimmed down version of a chopped pak pad.

Here's a couple pics of mine, the smaller one. (mine also had the rails)

Hope that helps at least a little.

That is one beautiful ride. The TourPak really sets it off.

Yes it helps, lol. I just found one pic of it on the Vetter website:

http://www.craigvetter.com/pages/Own...0page%209.html

But I still don't know if Craig Vetter made it for Harley Davidson. But I think that Elvis had one, lol. I wonder if it was in the parts catalogs from that era.

If you don't mind, I need a couple of pics of the backrest pad attached to it. I hope to fit a wrap around pad. I'll PM you my email.
I think that this trunk will look good with the bars around it and all the bars around and on top of my saddlebags.

EDIT It looks like that tour pack was made for your bike. Like Spizzyman said, you a gorgeous ride.

Regards,
