Default Tire on bass-ackwards

Wheel bearings haven't been a problem for me, I had that same thing happen and put at least 10K miles on that way... and I've got 30K now and now wheel bearing problem.

Nice bike by the way!!

When my '06 was new they couldn't get rid of front brake squeel so they reversed the rotor and that took care of it. That was 25000 miles ago.

It happened to me too.
I put a little over 3000 miles on it before I noticed it.
It did kill my front bearing though. It was making a minor squeal. I did not feel comfortable riding with a squealing bearing. Can't chance when it chooses to go completely out.
The me shop that mounted the tire wrong did cover the cost of the bearing replacement.

I was concerned with the reverse rotation of the wheel bearings and how much more prone to failure they would be....anyone have any knowledge or experience with this......

Huh ? Its a wheel bearing it doesn't know the difference?.. The only thing would be if you have abs then it wont work properly with the abs bearing on the wrong side !I mounted my rotors on the front backwards as per the H/D bulletin to help get rid of the brake squeal.. My bike is quiet ..

I just put a new EIII on the front and back of my 07. I noticed that the left and right brake discs were on the wrong side, so I swapped them. I do not have any squeal, so far.

The wheel bearings are not symetrical to both sides, so there could be some issue. But in general I would agree.

They are actually supposed to be on the wrong side and came like that from the factory. There's a HD tech tip on it.

Is the valve stem on the right side or left side? That's the only way I know to determine if the wheel is mounted correctly? If the valve stem is on the right side, there is no bearing issue since the wheel is mounted correctly. And if the wheel is mounted correctly, and the tire is rotating in the correct direction, you should be good to go.

As for the brake rotors/discs, as others mentioned HD made a running change to get rid of brake squeal and mounted the rotors opposite their embossed left/right side.
