Default Steering shake when using front brake

A buddy of mine hit a pot hole hard and now has a lot of movement at the handle bars when using the front brakes, the handle bars move up and down when using the front brakes. The don't move when using the rear brakes. Is there anything I should check
other than adjusting the steering head bearings.

Check the forks for alignment and being bent. Check the bearings in the stearing head. Check the whole stearing head. Check the handle bar mounts. Check the calipers. I recommend having a pro do this, if you are unfamiliar.

If the bike acts crazy when the front brake is applied, check your front disk for consistant thickness. Heat can, has, will cause disks to warp slightly and cause what you have decribed.

The rotor is slightly warped this is part of the problem but the looseness of the head bearings I think is what changed from hitting the pot hole as the shake was not present just before hitting the pothole and was wondering if it was common for themto go out of adjustment from a bad pot hole or should I be looking for damage other places like where the bearings mount, could it be damaged from the commpression ?

I had to have the right front rotor replaced at 5k on my Limited. Service manager said they've replaced several, may have had a bad lot.

i got the same problem since almost day one with my sg i just bought in july very notice able at low speed like coming into a parking spot and lightly applying the front brake as you corner to position the bike and it acts like its hopping like warped rotor or something grabbing or loose. I got to get it fixed.
