howling noise while leaning left in a turn
I had a kinda the same thing on my flstc. It would only make noise at about 33 to 36 mph. However It would go away when I leaned to either side. I had it in two shops ant they both blew it off as either belt noise. I didn't buy it though. It just didn't sound like a belt to me. So I ordered bearings and seals for the rear wheel and had another shop put them in when they mounted a tire for me. Bingo! noise gone!! The mechanic told me that the bearings were fine. I told him to change them anyway. Glad I did. And one of the previous mechanics had removed the wheel when replacing the drive belt and did not see a problem either.
That's how it started out for me on my '10 RK....left turn started moaning at about 5k, very little noise on the right hand turn....it increased as the tires wore, but the left turn is still much louder howl.
Anybody else get a howling noise from the rear of their bike? almost want to blame the tire. Had a screw destroy the old tire with 10k on it. This new one has a little over 3k. Do not remember if it made this noise with the original tire. They are both the same tire make and model.
The noise only happens when I lean the bike in a left turn. If I lean the bike right it is quiet. I heard the noise before but it was not that loud. It is now getting much louder.
Want to take a weekend trip but need to be sure the ride is up to it.
The bike is a 2009 ultra with 13500 on the clock.
Thanks in advance for all your input.

Yup, 2019 Road Glide Ultra 3,000 miles. My 06 Kawasaki Nomad did the same, and it had a shaft drive. New tires made no difference. A Buddy of mine has a 2011 Ultra Classic, same thing.
