Default Continental Wide white wall tires.?

have a freind who sells/installs tires. I've always used Dunlops. He has a deal on Michelins, and the continental is the white wall I guess. He says they're a similar compound, and that I can run a Michelin on the rrear, nd my Dunlop on the front. What do you think.

If you’re saving tons of money, I say go for it.. I’m the guy who recommends OEM parts for normal riders and nominal environments. I’ll upgrade when I’m doing specific riding such as drag racing or doing burn outs all the time. The tires bikes have off show room floor are with tires specifically for model.
Recommendation= Go for it if you would like to save money and record your miles and the condition of tires to see how they hold up over time compared to the OEM tires.
Good luck
