Got mine apart today in 1.5 hours thanks to this thread, I did remove the radio first so I could install a aux jack in the back of it to plug my gps into.
Is there an easy way to install an aux jack in the back of the HK unit, or is it necessary to send it out to a pro?

My front aux jack is broken and unusable.

Check out icarkit.com. They have solutions for nearly every car made. They do not list Harley but they do offer a phone number to call for help if you can't find what you need. I have their kit on my Audi and it works great. It connects into the back of the radio using the inputs that are already on the radio. If there is a solution I believe these guys should be able to help you out.

Great write up, I just skimmed thru it lookin at pics. Got a question, Im use to FLTRs but I have to change bars on an 09 FLHX, can I just remove the lower piece under the ign switch to get to the 4 bolts or do I have to pull outer fairing and radio? Thanks Im subscribing for future reference.
