Question Vance and Hines or Rush

I'm picking up a new 2011 Ultra Classic Limited next week ... (yeah!)

In the meantime, I am looking at purchasing a complete exhaust system from Vance and Hines or Rush ...

I want the true dual look on my bagger, so I'm looking at the Vance and Hines (with power pack) or the Rush true duals (with 2" baffles).

But, I'm not sure of the sound ... in that past I've had Rineharts which I liked.

Any thoughts on how either of these compare with Rineharts?

YouTube.com has some short clips of each of these. Personally I think the Rush pipes sound fuller and give a good "bark" when you get on it, then purr at highway speed.

I'd give Fuelmoto a call and talk to them about their offerings. They've got some great packages.

I just put Rush slipons with 1.75 baffles on my 09 Electra glide and really like the sound, loud enough when you get on it then a nice rumble when your cruising.

I run Rush with 2" baffles. Love 'em! I have a friend who rides an Ultra with V&H. People in our little riding group compliment mine and prefer the sound over his. Your mileage may vary.

V&H pipes have better build quality and chrome plating than Rush. The sound these pipes emit is a subjective call.

I've got 2" Rush slip ons, love them.
For what's worth, the Rush people come on this site often
and give feedback. Also from what I've seen they honer the
warranty better than anybody I've seen.

I'm a V/H fan. I have the Monster Ovals and love them, nice deep rumble like the old HD's use to make. Friend just got the Monster Rounds. I'd say get those with high flow & fuelpak and you'll be set.

I put on V&H dresser duals with Rinehart slip on's. Couldn't be happier. Personally I think it is hard to get a true sound from listening to exhaust on the computer.
