Ok give me some advice old wise ones. This summer I found a good deal on a brand new set of SE255 cams. I have the Torrington bearings also. I was all ready to drop this in as a winter project and along comes Jamie at Fuelmoto with his 107 kit with the Woods 555 cams.
Do I ebay the 255's and spend the 1300 for the 107 kit, or do I spend about 300 for gaskets, adjustable pushrods ect and be happy........
Well I'd do the 107, but it depends on how much performance you're looking for. When you bought the 255s you either thought that would be enough or you got a really good deal. That 107 kit looks like a winner to me & you've already got the tuner, go for it.
Here is what I did I decided to go with the woods tw6. (after saving for months) the day after I ordered the tw6 FM offered the 555. Now they have the 107 kit. I planned to put the cams in and start saving for the 107 kit, but I will tell you the tw6 cams and stock heads really wake up that bike and it runs really good. I may come back to the 107 kit. But if I do it will be after some other adds.
I would go with the cams and see if you are happy if not, you can add the 107 kit later.

Sell the 255 and purchase the 555 then later go with the 107. Also an in between step would be to install the .030 head gasket to bump up the CR to get the most out of the cam. This is what I am going to do and I'm about 200 bones away.
I had PC-V w/auto tune & 255's installed in the summer of 2010 as the first real performance upgrade (other than Rinehart TD's, A/C & Fuel Pack) on my 07. Loved them & thought that was all I wanted.... Dec. 2010, bike back apart for 103", Andrews 54 cams, headwork, gear change, SE compensator, ect., ect. If your already thinking 107", 255's won't keep you happy for very long! My .
Well it's up to you, but if you add up the little bit of money your going to get from the cams, and save your money on the gaskets and such your almost 1/2 way there cash wise.
