Default Tallboy Seat Thoughts?

I just put the HD Tallboy seat on my 2010 Road Glide. Being 6'3" i needed a little more leg room. The Tallboy puts me in a much more comfortable riding position. It seems a little firmer and feels like it sits me down a little more than my previous seat (RG Ultra seat) So, without having any miles on it I'm happy with the seating position. For those of you that have this seat is it as comfortable on the long haul as it is out of the box?

Thanks.

Tallboy sits you higher. You'd be better off going down and BACK. Pick out a top seat maker (I'm partial to Corbin), anyone but HD.

I've had mine for about 25,000 miles. I like it. Longest day was 870 miles. I say it is comfortable for the long haul.

I like the Tallboy so far and have a few thousand miles on mine. The Tallboy puts you a little higher on the bike than most other seats, which I find more comfortable and places less stress on my hips. I just sent mine off to MeanCityCycles for the memory foam treatment and to modify the seat to get me 2" further back. I'm 6'6"...

I thought it was going to sit taller, but as far as I can tell, the TB puts me down around a half inch and back around 2.

Anyway - I put a lot of money into seats (mostly Corbin and a Mustang here and there) before I started modifying my stock HD seats. But then I bought a Tall Boy (I was trying to get the better half to ride around a bit more and the "passenger pad" on my FLHX wasn't going to cut it with her).

Gotta say, I was freakishly impressed by the comfort of that seat. I've only had it for a few thousand miles and now it's on my 2011 Electra Glide (which made the bike look 100% more "slick" I might add). No uber-long runs with it, but there was a 750-ish run over a couple days last fall without a stitch of monkey-butt and the padding was very welcome (over the FLHX seat).

I bought this for my bike the first day I picked it up,been on ever since. Very comfortable and it didn't raise me up any. Plenty of leg room, and comfortable, what else could you ask for? I have tried other seats including the Mustang super touring seat. For some odd reason HD seats are very comfortable to me,Mustangs are the worst

John--wasn't sure if you meant the stock Tallboy or after you had it modified.

Thanks

Does this mean that your seat (after mods by MCC) will set you back a total of 4" over stock?
How much does this raise the seat height when all is said and done? I bought a 2011 RGU and haven't ridden it yet because of the weather here and would like to make comfort changes before riding season. I am also 6'6".

Mine is much more comfortable than the stock seat. Put 25K miles on the stock one and have almost 35K on the Tallboy. Longest day on it is almost 800 miles.
