Default Revolution Performance EMS feedback?

Not too long on the market but searching in hdf and many other forums including HTT indicates some very impressed owners. The only negatives I have read so far are non-users who "don't like the idea" of sending their ECM off for programming which does not give me any heartburn.

I am a big fan of Jamie and crew......currently run the PCV from FM on my 08 which did a great job of taking care of a bad deal tune with SEPST.

The RP EMS however seems to be a plug n play that owner does not have to learn to use and tweak. Anyone running this unit now for awhile happy with the choice?

Really like to hear from someone who installed it and then did a change after such as cams as to how well it adapted on it's own.

We have been talking with Revolution for some time and are hoping to do a full evaluation of the Revolution EMS on one of our bikes in the next several weeks. We will post information at that time

I was hoping you would chime in. Great to hear.........can I ask then are you considering selling it also? I was reading some information between you and another respected shop owner on another venue.

Thanks!

I am in the process of installing this on my bike, right now just sent in the ecm, waiting for it to return, the kit is simple to install, hardest part is to hide the wires so it looks good. instructions are very clear, you will have to remove the tank, or lift it up to run wires from front o2 sensor. the sheet you fill out wants a lot of info: injector size, intake and exhaust size, cam specs, intake size, comp. ratio, ect. I am excited and a little anxious at the same time, hoping it all works well, got a lot of time in my build, want the final result to be good, took a chance, will let you know next week some time, hopefully, wed, or thurs.

Lets just say we are working out the details on some pretty cool stuff with them, they are actually right here in Wisonsin only 45 minutes from FM.

sent my ecm to rev perf on monday, showed up today, wedensday!! I complained about slow service!!! Installed ecu and followed instructions, PFM!!! (pure ****in' magic!!) bike idles so smoothly, revs much better than when new, crisper throttle response, and so much more power!! I am going to call tomorrow and complain about how great my bike runs!!! I recommend this product!! avoid all those terrifying violent dyno pulls, and I tell ya you'll be hard pressed to find somebody to tune it this closely, JMHO

Sounds to me the only real downfall of this, is that u r flashing the factory ecm. Now if u have warranty issues...hmmm? Pretty sure u would be screwed.

took care of the warr. when that motor came all apart!! besides the ecu's are very reliable for the most part, very few failures that I know of (that weren't operator error!) thats not ever an issue besides, the ecm still works exactly like the original one. all diag, live data, comes thru just like the old one!! there really is no down side (except initial cost) but for a really great dyno tune its around 5-6 hrs and at 90-100 an hr, its a push, and you never have to dyno again, even if you add to the motor (different cams, heads, intake, even cubic inches, up to 25% bigger) so you can grow into each phase, pretty damn cool!!

What im getting at is if u have a mechanical failure and your bike is still under warranty and they find out u had the ecm modded, i bet they wont cover anything.
