My FLHX has Performance Machine - Contrast Cut Heathen's with matching fixed rotors. The rotors warped and Performance Machine is replacing them. What I don't like is the six/eight weeks my bike will be down because they told me they are "out of stock and entered a production order for them" to be made.
I have to ask why PM does not have a pair of Contrast Cut Heathen rotors in stock? Or why they can't they get a pair from one of their vendors? I paid $3000.00 of MY money for this setup.
I'll report back on the actual time they drag their feet in getting my rotors back to me. That's what I get for buying FIXED rotors, never again!
PM cuts their parts from blanks, therefore, no vendors that supply already finished parts.
With that said, that's also the reason they don't have 100's sitting on a shelf.
Cutting to order minimizes warehouse space.
It also cuts down on the money the company is "sitting on" until the part sells.
Also, it's the beginning of show season.
Most manufacturers are focused on showing new products at these parts shows.

What kind of signs alerted you the rotors were bad? I was in a wreck and got my bike back together around Sept.2010. I got a little riding in before it got cold but the rotors are making a buzzing noise. I thought (and was told) it would go away after a few hundred miles but so far it has not. Just curious.
6 to 8 weeks DOWN time, why not just throw a set of stock rotors on till they get you yours? the rotors should have never warped in the 1st place, just curious what is to stop the next set from warping?
Had the same issues with the same rims. I took my bike to PM, had one of their people look at it, found it to be, u guessed it, warped rotors. They replaced both and all was fine.
if harley rotors would work, at least you'd have something you can replace if you have issues with them. i have a custom chopper with the contrast cut wheels and matching rotors. i need to replace those rotors, but i'm going to use off the shelf harley floating rotors for that application. man that's a long time for your bike to be down. good luck.
i had the same problem with sinister rotors went threw 3 sets. one good thing is they are right down the road from me. they replaced them no questions asked all 3 times. but i will never buy from sinister again cuz 2 of my friends had the same issues.
Wow... This sounds so familiar. I had the same issue with my PM Heathen Chrome rotors. They kept telling me It was the ABS causing my brake handle to pulse. I know what a warped rotor feels like and they insisted I had no idea what I was talking about. After much arguing and many phone calls to the marketing manager, they gave me an RMA number. I then had to schedule an appointment to get the bike into the dealer, pay to have the PM wheel/rotor/tire swapped with the stock one and I had to pay to ship it back to PM. They called to tell me that they were within "spec". SPEC!?!?!? They are warped...not too thin!?!?!? The arguing continued for a week till someone "fixed" my warp problem. NOT REPLACE, REPAIRED THEM. I guess that's what you get for dropping that kind of coin on a set of wheels/tires and rotors, EH? I did get a check for the R&R, plus shipping... but GEZZZZ, it was a huge hassle. They did throw in a shirt and a hat for my troubles (ROLLS EYES).
