Default Thunderheader verses stock pipes with thundercone slipons

My bike has 2-1 thunderheader. I love the sound of it

I just like the looks of 2 pipes on a bagger. If I put the stock pipes back on with thundercone slip ons.

Will I get the same sound?
Will I have to re - map my bike, or adjust my Revtech DFO

No way it will sound anything like a TH. If you want the best of both worlds, get a TH with a ghostpipe.

Or get a set of true dials and thunder header muffs.... It will sound better than your current setup.

I have heard thundercones on the road and I personally think they are louder than 2 into 1. I have had two into 1 before, and this time in going with 09 catless pipe and the cones. Just waiting till break in to do so.

Thundercone slip ons sounded great, loud and strong, with the stock headpipe on my 06 SG

You can put on a falsee pipe on the left side (waste of money for the looks).

You can put a set of true duals with TH slip-ons, (it will sound different, still very nice) but you will loose some torque vs the 2-1.

Thanks for the replies. Gives me something to think about.

Think the revtech will need tweaked?

Default I had them both

I had a thunderheader 2-1 on my 95in and it was the best sounding bike I have ever heard. I got a lot of compliments on it.

Now I have a 103 limited with Vance and Hines power duels and Thunderheader slip-ons. The slip ons are not as deep but almost as loud.

hope this helps
