RK pics w/ aftermarket fairings
#12
Saturday I went to the Stealership to buy fluids/filter and they had a RKC with an aftermarket fairing next to a Sreet Glide and honestly I didn't like the removable fairing. It seems to stand-off the trees too much compared to the SG. That being said I was ready to make the purchase before seeing that, if I do it now it will be using OEM Street Glide parts.
Honestly some of these fairings are over $2500 by the time they are painted, you could pick up many of SG fairing parts used and have a bad-*** stereo in it for that price.
I would be interested to see a parts breakdown and cost going through one of the 20% off deallers. Anybody that has too much time on there hands get on it!!!

Total investment at the time was $1500 and 15 minutes, I had it painted locally for $100

Here's a link to a lot of my pics. I have a Woody's fairing and love it. had it painted and striped. Detachable and quick detach wiring connector.
