Perfect day with a sour note!
Weather was spectacular here today. Got in 300 miles of GREAT riding. Had the road to myself, hit lots of twisties. Unfortunately, rolled through a stop sign in the middle of nowhere with not a soul within miles except for a highway patrol officer that I didn't see. Nailed me for running the stop sign and an expired inspection sticker. Not knocking the officer, he was doing his job. I was probably due given my typical aversion to the speed limit. Thought he might give me a break until he asked about the inspection sticker that he couldn't find (that was 2 years expired and on a plate in my bag) then I was in for the whole boat. $350 worth of tickets. Hoping to take defensive driving and got an inspection this afternoon so hoping for a reduction there.
A couple of people asked to know how it this came out. Ended up paying $115 to take defensive driving. Additional costs of $12 - driving record and $25 online course. Inspection sticker was dismissed but had to pay $22 court costs. Moral of the story. Come to a full stop with foot down even/especially in the middle of nowhere. Make sure your bike is inspected if required in your state.

Use a traffic ticket lawyer. Within DAYS you will start to receive solicitations in the mail....use one. You will pay SLIGHTLY more than the fine, and they should be able to get you deferred adjudication without ever having to show...
I can almost understand the stop sign under the conditions but the inspection sticker lapsing 2 years is your bad. Sorry but you got what you deserved. Keep your bike legal Bro!!!

Man bro that just sucks, I hate to say I don' feel as bad anymore for puting a few nicks in my saddle bag lid after it fell over on the garage floor, i am still mad as hell tho. But it could always be worth, just look at it like you just payed $350 for a short trip.
