Rear Wheel Off Center... Response From MOCO... Horrible!
#11
If you don't have any handling issues and it leans left and right about the same in turns, then I don't see what the big deal is. If it's causing some serious handling problems then that's different. I know it can be frustrating when the MoCo won't help on odd things like this, but I think most all manufactures are the same on things like this. If this is the only problem you have with your bike, then just try to relax a bit and enjoy your Harley.

Well id have to mill 3/16 off the back of the pulley or off the hub of the rim because the wheel needs to move to the left without changing the belt alignment. Might be a challenge. Could space out the tranny pulley not sure if it will clear eveything though?
Pulley bolts directly to the rim which makes it tough.
If i needed to move it the other way it would be easier.

Having an offset is so common, and suddenly on 09's they proclaim that no offset is supposed to be there? Harley engineers told you that?
Do you have any links supporting this topic (09's no offset)?
That is the first time I have heard that.
While you might be feeling a handling issue, I am doubtful it's from the offset. Offsets are just too common and the others aren't having a handling problem.
You might have some other issues causing your handling issues. That is if they are not psychosomatic.

I would speak to a GOVERMENT AGENCY and maybe they can DIRECT you to someone who could help?
I had some problem with GM ( made the car with Front End problems that could not be fixed without MAJOR Frame and Front End Improvements ) and a DEALER years ago and I called a County agency and they directed me to an Organization set up to Help people with Dealer and GM Problems.
Went to them they gave us an arbitrator and fixed the money part and took the CAR BACK!!!
It HELPED

How do you move the IDS closer to the wheel? If it was spaced away from the wheel than you could remove those spacers or cut new ones that are thinner but that is not an option.
The only way to move the wheel to the left and keep the belt alignment correct is to move the IDS closer to the rear wheel and add that same amount of spacer to the opposite side or, as mentioned above, move the tranny pulley out but not sure if there is enough room?
