I think he has a post on the lineing job he did, great looking work!

But back to the original poster, I'm also looking at the bag liners (felt type). There seems to be three choises, HD's hard formed felt, DS's slip in (uses velcro, and are soft formed), and the glue in kits. I also have the soft sided ,handled, travel bags and hope you can still use with them.
So anyone have experiance with these?

I installed the liners from Custom Chrome. They are one piece held in at the top with velcro.
They are half the cost of the HD liners.

I have both the H-D hard liners and the H-D travel bags.
The hard liners have small pieces of hook & pile fasteners to hold them to the sides of the hard bags. After a few years use, mine began to pull away from the sides, so I sprayed the top insides with contact cement and semi-permanently glued them in.
They do take up a little space inside the saddlebags, but not much. I've never had more 'stuff' than I could put in them. They do quieten down the loose 'stuff' that accumulates in the bottom of the bags.
You will have to be careful when washing the bike to keep the lids locked.

HD ones are nice, removable and expensive but thick, which diminishes your over-all space, but you won't hear things rattling around either.

My buddy runs the HD and I run the CC http://customchrome.net/icatalog/Pro...aspx?sku=15023

We both have the soft HD bags with no problems, my CC liners seem to allow more room, but very slight.......
