I own a 2007 Road Glide and I would like to change the front wheel from an 16" to an 18". The model I like mentions that it is for 2009 on. Is there a difference in front wheel width or bearing? When I look at the tire size for 2007 and 2009 they are the same MT90H-16. What prevents me from putting a 2009 wheel on my 2007 (front only).
Up to 18" rim/tire you should have no clearance issues with the stock fender. But make sure you compare the overall diameter of installed 18" tire to your stock 16" tire so you don't have any complications.
I tried this very thing earlier this week. My stealer told me it wouldn't work due to the way the rotor mounts to the wheel and the caliper to the fork lowers. The design changed in 09. If anyone out there has actually done it i would like to know. I have found a deal on a 2010 sinister wheel.
