What Jinks said is correct, but you could manually copy the tables from a PCIII map to a PCV map. The only difference is that the PCV has a 15% throttle-position column and you'll need to work around that. If I did it I would interpolate between the 10 and 20% values on the PCIII map. IOW if 10% is a value of "4" and 20% is "10" I would use "7" in the corresponding PCV 15% cell.

I haven't tried it but you might be able to load both PCIII and PCV software, select and copy the 0-10% columns on your PCIII table, then paste them into the PCV table. After that, do the same for 20-100% and interpolate 15% as described above. If you have an advanced setup, i.e. different values for each cylinder, you'll need to do this for both, as well as the ignition-advance tables. Jamie may see this and tell us if this copy-and-paste idea can be done, and if so it would be quick and easy.

Actually I just found a map on the Powercommander website for a 2010 bike that has the same setup as my 2008. The 2010 is a PCV map whereas I have a PCIII for my 2008. I figure if I copy the same numbers from the 2010 PCV map I can make my own PCIII map.

You cannot use a PC-V map in a PC III as they use a different format. You copy and paste parts of the PC-V tables into a PC III map, however you really need to know the exact specifics between the maps and tables you are using or you can mess things up pretty easily. As Iclick noted PC-V maps have a 15% column in the map that is not in PC III and it is also important to note that front and rear cylinders are opposite between most PC III's to PC-V. There are also quite a few different map levels as the ECM calibrations change in most cases by year and specific model

A 2010 Touring map will not work on a 2008 Touring as the ECM calibration and control system are completely different between these two bikes, this is why there are maps for different years of these models.

First, I misread the OP that he wanted to go from PCV to PCIII map, not vice versa. The procedure would be the same, though, except that the 15% column is irrelevant with the PCIII. Jamie made an important point that I forgot about, that the PCIII #1 cylinder is the rear while the PCV is the front, in most applications that is.

Thanks guys... Okay, so I did find a PCIII map for ALMOST my setup and hope to tweek it to match what I have. My 2008 bike has stock headers, Stage I air, PCIII and CFR slipons. I found this map on Powercommander's website, any advice on how I can modify it to allow for my Stage I air?

M818-107 *Advanced Map*,Cary Faas Racing exhaust (Standard Baffle),Stock air filter,Table 1 is front cylinder

Awile back I also had a question about the older PCIIIr.Sent an email to Jame, actually all I really needed was a correct(or close) map for my setup also explaing there was no way for me to know if anything had been done to the bike in the past other than the previous owner had told me he was on a trip out west and the bike started to run crappy.he said he took it to a shop where they removed a power commander from it,retuned it and sent him on his way. They didn't re instll the PC nor give it back.I picked one up but wasn't sure what map to use.Told him what I had done,K&N filter,Fullsac true dual conversion,Vance&Hines 3" fishtails,no baffles.But...never heard anything back.Maybe somebody here can help me out??
By the way, maybe if someone still has the old software, manual, etc for a PCIIIr perhaps I could beg, borrow or copy it??
