Until they put something on there to measure how much air is actually going IN the engine, the ECM is just guessing at what's coming out.

Old posting but a current topic. I'm also going with the Vance and Hines power duals but I'm going with the Hi Output and SE 255 cams. SE high Flow air and Vance and Hines fuel pak. Going to try the recommended download from Vance and Hines to see what it runs like. I can always go to a race tuner and Dyno later. Thoughts?

pcv or power vision from fuelmoto, pcv cost only a little more than fuel pack, fuel pack isn't dyno friendly,if fuel pack doesn't run right u dump even more on a se tuner and dyno, with pcv if it isn't right u call fuelmoto, and if u want u can still dyno without a new tuner.

The PCV isnt that expensive ($299 Fuel Moto) and its going to add fuel to the equation.....now you might be able to get by with a VIED ($150) which in it of itself will add fuel. The diff in price isnt that much and your going to be able to do a hell of a lot with that PCV.

Just in time. i'm headed to the dealer today. I'll ask about the pcv. The service advisor tried to sell me on the SE tuner but said it required a dyno. All in it added 700 more to the price. This sounds like it gives me more flexibility and only adds a few bucks. Heck, after $2800 on everything alse I shouldn't be pinching pennies now. The hardest part of this is giving up my bike for 2 sunny days. Thanks for the help!

The PCV is easier to work with, and will come pre-loaded and work with a stage 1 w/no dyno needed, but it's your $$$.
If you do cams though, it would be recommended to get a dyno for the best results.

If you go the SEPST route do not forget to get the software and cables. Also get a copy of the final map they install on your bike.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I went with the pcv. They are going to talk to fuel moto to get the right download for the combo of cams/pipes. After I break in the pipes, I'll go for the dyno. I feel like a kid at Christmas. I can't wait to get it back.

Got it back today. Looks great, sounds mean, and as the tech described it, "runs like a raped ape". Only issue seems to be at low rpm's. Feels like it gets bogged down coming off the line. Biggest change is the pull from 2500-4000 rpm. Big difference in performance. After braking in the pipes, I'll hit the dyno and cure the low rpm problem. I'm sure it's fuel. Thanks to all for the help. Satisfied customer!
