Went out for a ride today and had a great day until I pulled in for gas. While filling up I got swarmed by Sheriff's from 2 counties and the Highway Patrol. I said what's up guys and the Man said, "I was doing 108 MPH chasing you and couldn't catch up; if you hadn't pulled in for gas I would never have caught up with you!"

What what could I say except "Sorry, I was cruising at a buck ten so I guess 108 was a bit shy"

Wrote me for 80 in a 65.

I suppose after 22,000 miles plus this summer, one ticket isn't bad.

It is probably not too often they get to chase a Touring bike down the freeway Most of the time it is those damn Crotch Rockets clipping along at those kinda speeds.

Got stopped 2 weeks ago in Ct, anything over 85 mph they can arrest you. I was crusing at 90
and saw the trooper, knew I was caught so I pulled over right away.

Wrote me a $75 dollar ticket could have been $300...............nick@nite

 

Yeah, the HP said he would have arrested me. I said if I would have seen him he wouldn't have caught me. That started an exchange [sm=bicker.gif] but fortunately the county mounty who was chasing me let it go.

I've been cruising all summer at well over 90 and this is the first time I've been busted. I typically ride within the limits unless I hit the boring concrete highway and then I put the hammer down. I've riden to Wendover in formation with the Blue Nights cruising at a buck five. Guess it always been do as I say not as I do. Anyway this is a $107 ticket. I'll need to keep it down for a while so as not to get nailed by insurance rates. [sm=devilangel.gif]

 

Lucky for you. Around here exchanges like that would have you in handcuffs real quick.

I would say fight the ticket. If they weren't that close to you how do they know it was really you and not another bike?

 

i would have said i seen that wild *** biker make a left at the next light.

 

I'd got to court and tell the judge the ticket is wrong. It says I was only doing 80 when I was really doing 110. Maybe he'll throw it out.

 

You actually came out pretty good. . .

But if your record is clean you can probably work out something with the prosecutor to keep it off your record.
